DB Size question

Good Morning,

I know that question is going to be stupid for some of you.
Which could be the difference of size between the same table on
Postgresql and on Mysql ?
Tables are exactly the same : same description, same number of rows,...

If you use the blackhole-storage-engine in MySQL, than MySQL needs
substantially lesser memory than PostgreSQL...

sorry, could not resist.

Andreas,

I m not using that black hole option in Mysql... :-)

Saying 'difference of size', I mean a difference in disk usage.

Thanks

Cedric

I know that, but i don't know:
- which storage engine within mysql
- which version (mysql, postgresql)
- which datatypes
- which compile-options
- ...

All these may have influence on your question.
