Thread: os x and initdb data directory

Can anyone recommend a location of a data directory on MAC OS X? And
what are the permissions?

Take a look at the install instructions:

http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.0/interactive/installation.html

At the top of the page (14.1 Short Version) it shows making the
directory and setting the permissions.
