Validate for PL/pgSQL functions

Hello,

Is there a way to "validate" the PL/pgSQL statements in (trigger-)functions.
With validate I mean check syntax and ensure that all referenced database
objects do exist.

Ruediger

Hm,

fortgot to say that I am working with 8.0 beta 3. Though I am sold on
Postgres, the validation it does on PL/pgSQL is very basic.
While it is convenient that Postgres allows to create PL/pgSQL that
references object not yet existent, I would like to be able check the
PL/pgSQL completely and be reported when syntax is invalid or objects
don't exist.
Is there any way?

TIA
Ruediger
