resend: Trouble with pg_dump in 7.3.4

resend after joining list ...

I'm using the following to backup a table from a database

pg_dump --table=tableName --clean --format p dbName

The file produced has all lines preceded by a space. Only the COPY such as this  ...

 COPY rr_config (a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, o) FROM stdin;
 69     2       \N      \N      mydevice        ahash   1       \N      \N      mydevice#10.86.209.205  \N      \N      \N      68      63
 \.

seems to care. I get these errors:

ERROR:  copy: line 2, Bad numeric input format ' '
lost synchronization with server, resetting connection

manually removing the space before the "\." fixes the problem.

Is there a workaround?

Thanks,
Frank

I can not reproduce the failure here.
