I create a data type as follows:
create type baseobject as (grp integer, elem integer,
len integer, dta bytea);
I then wish to make a table of these:
create table image (obj baseobject);
however the table creation fails with this error
message:
ERROR: column "obj" has composite type baseobject
If I can't use composite data types in tables what is
the use of a composite data type?
