Hi all,

as Debian (sarge) now has postgresql 7.3 I would like to upgrade my old
7.2.

Would you pg_dumpall the old db and do an import ?

TIA

The upgrade process _should_ do this for you. However, you ought to do
pg_dumpall yourself as well, because the upgrade process is...delicate.

Because of the extensive changes between 7.2 and 7.3, there is more
scope for things to go wrong in this particular upgrade than there has
been in previous ones.
