Hi,

I recently compiled and installed the latest version of postgresql onto my suse 7.3 box. When I use psql and hit a cursor key it produces a load of nonsense characters rather than moveing the cursor. My previous version was fine on suse 6.3. Any suggestions how to rectify this?

You probably didn't have the readline (development) libraries installed.
