Thread: UNICODE error
Hi Folks ! I got this error with pgaccess: PostgreSQL error message: Connection to database failed ERROR: Client encoding UNICODE is not supported What is this and how to fix it ? I am running pg 7.2 on a RH 7.3. This error comes with a vnc-session from a winbox and on the linuxbox's X itself. I can access dbs with ssh / psql no problems, but sometimes it is easier to view and check something through 'X'. Does the error have any furher implications which should be taken care of before the machine goes into production ? TIA, aarni
AArni, > I got this error with pgaccess: > > PostgreSQL error message: Connection to database failed > ERROR: Client encoding UNICODE is not supported Please go to bugzilla.pgaccess.org, create an account, and file a bugzilla detailing the problem. This has been reported as a problem by several users, but the PGaccess project has been unable to track it down. Your report will help. Please include tcl/tk library versions, if you can. The bug does not affect anything other than PGaccess. -- -Josh Berkus Aglio Database Solutions San Francisco
