www.postgresql.org

Two comments on the web site:

1. The search feature sucks. I hate to be blunt, but I just did a search for
"odbc" and got...NOTHING.

2. The site is very slow (not just today, but every day for the last two
weeks that I have tried it, and I've tried from many different machines on
different networks).

Who do I take these issues to? (There is no "feeback on this site" link or
email address on the site).

I think this one might have somethign to do with the settings I put on the
server ... while buildling, I set very low values on -B, which I've jsut
raised and restarted ...

webmaster@postgresql.org is always a good start ...

okay, just up'd -B to 512 as a start, and got 11 582 results back on a
search of ODBC ...

The thing that I have a major hard time with is that the server that the
search is running on is pretty much idle ... 1gig of RAM, Dual-PIII 866s
and strip'd file systems for data ... I'm going to spend some time this
weekend increasing the shared memory available for the postmaster, to
increase its 'in memory' abilities ...

email pgsql-jdbc-request@postgresql.org with a subscribe request ...

It may be that I'm just a long ways away. My roundtrip ping to
216.126..84.28 runs about 40ms. The site seems more sluggish this would
indicate, though. (I'm talking about www.postgresql.org, not the search
site.)

About the slowness, are you sure you're hitting www.postgresql.org and
not a mirror? The mirror is automatically selected for you and you're
redirected without knowing it until the page comes up.

What list of mailing lists? The only official list is in the middle of
http://www.postgresql.org/users-lounge/index.html and both jdbc and odbc
are listed. If you're looking for it in the list of developer's mailing
lists, you won't find it. It's a user's list not a developer's list.
