Thread: Slow updates

Slow updates

I compiled 7.4.2 on Slackware 9.1 which fixed the thread bug and was doing an update on a table with only four rows in
aslittle as 60ms which was acceptable. However now it takes 200ms, not good enough to move from Sybase/Unix. No clue
onwhat happened.

BTW I also frequently get a "Can not connect to search daemon" when searching lists from archives.postgresql.org.

Jim,

Can you give us more information, I searched the archives, and can't
find an original message. Am I missing something ?

That was the original message. Only info I know that may help is that the updates are done in a thread. Let me know
anythingelse to post. Tks.
