Connection.setCatalog("DBNAME") does not work.....

Hi all,

I am using JBOSS V3.2.2 with postgresql.
My datasource require as necessary the database name and the setCatalog method of the connection class does not work.
Why?
How can i avoid such a problem?

you cannot connect to another db through the postgres jdbc driver, it is
not supported by the backend.
