Try connecting to 'template1' database (always exist) and then create a new database. Teo Braila, ROMANIA

IMHO this is the nonsence. It is not logical to think in those terms. The pgaccess code should trap the error, as it knows that"you should be connected to an existing one". And then, pgaccess code should do, whatever else needs to be done. -- John Turner http://Members.Ntelos.Net/~JLT JCI Inc. 304 776 3675 "Just because you do not know the answer, does not mean that someone else does" Sephen J. Downloads are still available on sourceforge, but the wiki, CVS, and mailing lists are down. Good news is that a Starkit is now available for download thanks to Brett Schwarz and much thanks to L. J. Bayuk for his pgin.tcl code. > Anyone have success with tcl/tk ActiveTcl8.3.5.0-2-win32-ix86.exe > & pgaccess-0_98_8_20030117-WIN32.zip on a > Win 2K pro box. An yes I moved and renamed the DLL's into winnt/system.. The latest release was 0.98.8.20030520, available as a Starkit at: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/pgaccess/pgaccess.kit?download Running the Starkit on OSX won't work, but for Linux and Win it should make installation much easier. You will need to first install Tclkit for your platform, followed by the Starkit. For more on Starkits, including an always fresh pgaccess.kit file, check the Starkit Distribution Archive: http://mini.net/sdarchive/ The releases are also published on freshmeat, you can subscribe to the list of new release notifications there as well. --Chris -- Chris Maj <cmaj_hat_freedomcorpse_hot_info> 0xC0051F6A 5EB8 2035 F07B 3B09 5A31 7C09 196F 4126 C005 1F6A
