Thread: TODO 9.0 done items removed
Since we branched 9.1 before we released Postgres 9.0, I had to remove the 9.0 TODO items before 9.0 was released, or people might have marked items as "done" when they were done only in 9.1. I also updated the TODO legend at the top to mention 9.1: [D] Completed item - marks changes that are done, and will appear in thePostgreSQL 9.1 release. -- Bruce Momjian <bruce@momjian.us> http://momjian.us EnterpriseDB http://enterprisedb.com + None of us is going to be here forever. +

Should we create a TodoDone90 page like this one? http://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/TodoDone84

That's a long list! Uh, there seems to be quite a lot there that is *not* done in 9.0. In fact, none of the first page's worth are done ... I stopped reading at that point. regards, tom lane

For example, this item is BS AFAIK:<br /><blockquote><h3><spanclass="mw-headline"> PL/Perl </span></h3><span style="position: absolute; left: -4.5em; min-width:3.5em; text-align: right;"><a class="image" href="http://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/Image:UntickedTick.svg"title="Incomplete item"><img alt="Incomplete item"border="0" height="10" src="cid:part1.01010005.03050303@dunslane.net" width="10" /></a></span>Allow data to be passedin native language formats, rather than only text <br /></blockquote><br /> cheers<br /><br /> andrew<br /><br />

Oh, I thought the wiki page was only a snapshot of the TODO list as of 9.0. I now see it is just completed items. I have updated the 9.0 TODO page accordingly: http://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/TodoDone90 Now I see why the page is useful. :-) -- Bruce Momjian <bruce@momjian.us> http://momjian.us EnterpriseDB http://enterprisedb.com + It's impossible for everything to be true. +
