You can pull down the CVS tags for each and then run a recursive diff..

Recursive? My CVS-foo is fading fast (hello git!) but it should be just:

$ cvs diff -rREL8_4_3 -rREL8_4_4 \
| grep 'RCS file' \
| grep "\.[ch]" \
| cut -d/ -f5- \
| cut -d, -f1 \
| sort
