Working with current CVS: 

$ createlang plpgsql

createlang: language installation failed:ERROR:  could not load library "/pgroot-cvs/lib/postgresql/plpgsql.so":
/pgroot-cvs/lib/postgresql/plpgsql.so:undefined symbol: downcase_truncate_identifier

Your plpgsql.so may be CVS-tip, but your backend isn't... that function
was just added a few days ago.

I just got this error after upgrading to 7.4.2; I assume it may be because 
an old library was still present in memory, but wanted to check.
