Thread: shouldn't pg_dumpall...
Shouldn't pg_dumpall also dump user privileges? Every time I've updated (just did it a little while ago) I have to go back into the databases and grant all the users their privileges. Or am I doing something wrong? I suggested making -z the default a while ago, but no one has gotten around to doing something about it. (It'd be easy enough, but tedious, since you'd need to invent a new switch for turning off privilege- dumping and then update all the documentation. Sigh.) regards, tom lane
