Thread: 8.3beta4 needs a dump/restore?

Hi,

While upgrading from 8.3-beta3 to beta4, postgres complained that the
database format was not supported. I had to restore from backup.

Was that intended? I didn't see any beta4 announcement on -general or
-hackers.
