I get this error when I try to delete a column in a table in PG 7.4

"ERROR:  multiple INTERNAL dependencies for table"

What could the cause be and how do I get rid of it?

That's fairly interesting ... can you provide a recipe for reproducing
it?  PG 7.4.what-exactly?
