Thread: Modify the password of the service account?
Hi, I'd like to be able to modify the auto-generated password of the service account created during installation. I'm running XP Home which limits access to some of the snap-ins available on XP Pro. I've not been able to work out how to make the change. Any suggestions would be very welcome. I believe you can do this from the command-line with the "net user" command. Googling should come up with plenty of examples. -- Richard Huxton Archonet Ltd
Great. That did the trick. For some reason I was under the impression that I could only use net user from XP Pro. I'd been playing around trying to execute the command remotely from an XP Pro box on the network. Thanks a lot. >From: Richard Huxton <dev@archonet.com> >To: Joeseph Blowseph <joseph_blowseph@hotmail.com> >CC: pgsql-general@postgresql.org >Subject: Re: [GENERAL] Modify the password of the service account? >Date: Wed, 18 Jan 2006 09:01:23 +0000 > >Joeseph Blowseph wrote: >>Hi, >> >>I'd like to be able to modify the auto-generated password of the service >>account created during installation.
