Thread: mysql hash table equivalent?
Does postgres support in-memory only tables like the mysql HASH table type? I want to store some session data which I need quick access of, but don't care of it's lost on server stop/start

You don't need any > special mechanism. And if you're really concerned about speed, you should be caching it in application memory and saving the IPC round trip and the SQL parsing overhead... -Doug
