Thread: initdb failed

Hi,

  I just installed Postgresql 7.3.2 with Cygwin on my computer. When I try
to run "initdb -D /usr/postgresql/data" I get this message:

creating configuration files... ok
creating template1 database in /usr/data/base/1... Signal 12

initdb: failed


can somebody help me out?
