Thread: BSD License
Hi Folks! I don´t know whether it would be possible or not, but wouldn´t it be time to update the license text to the text of the current BSD license template? Or at least to replace "University of California" with "The PostgreSQL Global Development Group" ? Christoph Nelles -- Mit freundlichen Grüssen Evil Azrael mailto:evilazrael@evilazrael.de

Read the archives (IIRC, the last really major go-round was in mid-2000, but there were repeated flamewars before that). The general consensus is that this is a can of worms we don't want to open. regards, tom lane
No. Fortunately we agreed to try not to change the license again before the "final" release of PostgreSQL. This _might_ take a while, but has the tremendeous benefit of reducing the license changes to one.
