Did you start postmaster with -i option. Without this option, only local Unix domain socket connections are accepted. -----Original Message----- From: pgsql-general-owner@postgresql.org [mailto:pgsql-general-owner@postgresql.org]On Behalf Of jj Sent: Monday, October 14, 2002 7:45 PM To: pgsql-general@postgresql.org Subject: [GENERAL] pgAdmin II connection problem hi all, i would like to connect the postgreSQL from a remote hosts, but fails, here 's the detail. Did you started postgresql with -i option? That would enable TCP-IP networking in postgresql. By default it's not there.. HTH Bye Shridhar -- All new: Parts not interchangeable with previous model.
