Thread: Postgres for Windows
Hi guys and girlies, I have read somewhere that a Windows native build of PG is in beta, but I have been having some trouble finding the binaries/documents and so on. Does anyone know what the status is, stability, progress etc? Thanx in advance }:o] Michael

There's a company that sells a windows native version of postgres. It's quite reliable, but the version I bought don't have some important features, maybe by now they have already implemented everything. And another problem is that they don't distribut it with the source code. Take a look at www.dbexperts.net >Hi guys and girlies, > >I have read somewhere that a Windows native build of PG is in beta, >but I have been having some trouble finding the binaries/documents and >so on. >Does anyone know what the status is, stability, progress etc? > >Thanx in advance }:o] > >Michael > >---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- >TIP 4: Don't 'kill -9' the postmaster > > > > -- Diogo de Oliveira Biazus diogo@ikono.com.br Ikono Sistemas e Automação http://www.ikono.com.br

Hello, Command Prompt has a version for Windows in Beta. It still uses Cygwin but does not require a Cygwin "shell". It will even install as a NT/2000/XP service. Sincerely, Joshua Drake P.S. No it is not Open Source Michael Billing wrote: >Hi guys and girlies, > >I have read somewhere that a Windows native build of PG is in beta, >but I have been having some trouble finding the binaries/documents and >so on. >Does anyone know what the status is, stability, progress etc? > >Thanx in advance }:o] > >Michael > >---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- >TIP 4: Don't 'kill -9' the postmaster > >
