I\'m building a Contact Manager/
Organizational Tool in Objective-C using the
Cocoa frameworks in OS X. I\'ve looked over
all the embedded SQL options out there. I
would like to use PostgreSQL becasue I feel
that is the most robust open source solution
available.
However, I need to know if it is possible to
embed into my application so that is is
completely transparent to the user, even in
the installation process.
Is it possible to run PostgreSQL from INSIDE
my application bundle?
OR
Is is possible to run PostgreSQL from ~/
Library/Application Support/MyApp/
Database/?
Or we could go at it a different way... How
would you recommend going about it?
Should I even be considering it?
How much would it increase the phisical
size of my app?
