Hi!

  I wonder if there is any way to accesing Access97 files
using  Linux and PostgreSQL.

  I have Mandrake 8.0. PostgreSQL, ODBC and JDBC
drivers installed on it. I would like to use PostgreSQL
and drop my windows-based application.

Hello,

 Use ODBC to export your access tables to PostgreSQL then use ODBC (via
Access) to link to those tables. You can keep your existing front-end
but use the power of the PostgreSQL backend.

 However, I strongly suggest you upgrade to Access 2000 or better.
