Some application questions

I'm wondering some things about add-on apps to Postgres...

1. What, if any do you use for a GUI? I was looking at gtksql, it seems
okay, but not stellar. I don't mind the command line, I'm just curious about
what else is out there.

2. What do you use for design of a Postgres database? Back in the
commercial world, I'd use ER/Win or PowerDesigner or Oracle Designer. What
do you all use? Or do you just do everything via vi or some other editor and
maintain scripts yourself? I know newer versions of some of these
applications now include support for Postgres as well as others like MySQL,
but being currently laid off, I don't have access to those.

Thanks,
