Thread: Have problem about Perl DBI, Please help
Hello Support,
I encountered a problem related to the perl DBI of PostgresSQL. First, On my Solaris 8 system I installed Perl 5.6.1 with plperl shared, and then installed Postgresql 7.1.2 with perl choosed. I did not have problem during these installition. However, when running a perl script for test I got a message "Can't locate loadable object for module Pg in @INC. But I am sure the lib directory of my Postgresql database is in this enviroment. Please help as soon as possible, Thanks a lot.
Bin Yang

Postgres' Perl support has nothing to do with DBI. You need to install DBD::Pg to use postgres via DBI. If the postgres libs are in your ld lib path you can install with the cpan shell (perl -MCPAN -e shell). If not, you will have to set PGLIB, but you should still be able to use cpan.
