Thread: will rebuiding Postgres with multibyte support affect existing databases?

Hello,

I have a Postgres installation with several databases already in use.  I
need to create a new one with Unicode encoding, so I need to rebuild
Postgres to turn on multibyte support.  Will this cause any problems for my
existing databases, or will they continue to work undisturbed?
