Thread: Express binary data in standard ANSI SQL

1. Is there a standard way of expressing blob data in SQL, possibly by
using escape sequences, which will allow blob data to be inserted and
retrieved in plain SQL, size of blobs notwithstanding?

2. Where can I find some detailed help and examples on using the bytea
field type?
