Thread: Web Hosting That Supports PostgreSQL
Hi, I am looking for a cheap hosting plan that supports PostgreSQL (hopefully 7.1) with PHP4 on a unix platform (BSD prefered, Linux would be OK though). It would be nice if phpPgAdmin was already configured with the account. But if not, that's ok, I can set it up myself. This is only for the development of my site, not production, so that's why I'm looking at a cheap solution. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks. Jason
Uhm, Will RACKSPACE do this for you ?? http://www.rackspace.com/index.php ----- Original Message ----- From: Jason <jason@op480.com> To: <pgsql-general@PostgreSQL.org> Sent: Friday, May 11, 2001 3:06 PM Subject: [GENERAL] Web Hosting That Supports PostgreSQL > Hi, > > I am looking for a cheap hosting plan that supports PostgreSQL (hopefully > 7.1) with PHP4 on a unix platform (BSD prefered, Linux would be OK though). > It would be nice if phpPgAdmin was already configured with the account. Hi all, It seems like a good idea to have a list of places which support PostgreSQL as a backend database for website hosting. If people can email me the appropriate URL's, I'll take a look at them then create a new section on the techdocs.postgresql.org website to list them. :-) Regards and best wishes, Justin Clift Jeffrey Silberberg wrote: > > Uhm, > > Will RACKSPACE do this for you ?? > > http://www.rackspace.com/index.php > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Jason <jason@op480.com> > To: <pgsql-general@PostgreSQL.org> > Sent: Friday, May 11, 2001 3:06 PM > Subject: [GENERAL] Web Hosting That Supports PostgreSQL > > > Hi, > > > > I am looking for a cheap hosting plan that supports PostgreSQL (hopefully > > 7.1) with PHP4 on a unix platform (BSD prefered, Linux would be OK > though). > > It would be nice if phpPgAdmin was already configured with the account. > But > > if not, that's ok, I can set it up myself. Or you can get membership and access from anywhere. Also does php, but not sure what versions. > ---------------------------(end of broadcast)--------------------------- > TIP 4: Don't 'kill -9' the postmaster Aha! I thought it was okay to kill him -9 nowadays??? Should this tip be amended? Ale -- Alejandro Fernandez Bscp 5 Caledonian University 0790 541 8809 - ale@nin.cx
