Thread: Error by starting postmaster
I installed PostgeSQL on Windows 2000 like KevinLo disscipted in his installation procedure. The installation finished with no error. I got a message much like that on NT 4, after I upgraded to Cygwin 1.1.8. Reinstalling the Cygwin 1.1.7 package fixed the problem for me.
