The default editor when i invoke "\e" in "psql" it is "vi". How can I
replace the
editor with something else?
                                              Thanks,
                                                Rafael.

You can set the EDITOR environment variable to the editor you want to
use (i.e. EDITOR=gnuclient).

Dont forget to export this variable!

Maybe setting system variable EDITOR should help.
Try:

$ export EDITOR=pico

BTW, I'd rather learn vi ;-)
