Thread: Postgres 7.4.3-1, plperl and perl-5.8.2

 I'm trying to install plperl in Postgres 7.4.3-1 that
comes with cygwin install on XP Home edition.

createlang gives following error -

$ createlang plperl template1
createlang: language installation failed: ERROR:
could not load library "/usr/l
ib/postgresql/plperl.dll": dlopen: Win32 error 126

cygcheck indicates not being able to locate
cygperl5_8_2.dll -
$ cygcheck /usr/lib/postgresql/plperl.dll
C:/cygwin/lib/postgresql/plperl.dll
  C:\cygwin\bin\postgres.exe
    C:\cygwin\bin\cygcrypt-0.dll
      C:\cygwin\bin\cygwin1.dll

          C:\WINDOWS\System32\RPCRT4.dll

    C:\cygwin\bin\cygssl-0.9.7.dll
Error: could not find cygperl5_8_2.dll

cygwin  only allows me to install either
perl 5.6.1-2 or perl perl-5.8.5.3

How do I intall perl-5.8.2 so that plperl language can
be installed.
