Hello,
I am a java developer and is asked to use PostgreSQL for my new project.
As i am new to postgresql I am facing problem in loading it on Windows XP.
Could u please help me what need to be done?
 As on the Postgre FTP site there are lots of folders, so which all files
I need to download from there. I have already downloaded cygwin and
cygipc. And also what all system level configuration I have to done on my
system.
 So pls gude me how should i go about.

hello,

don't use the downloads from the postgres ftp site.  Install cygwin from
www.cygwin.com and choose the postgresql package included in the install
options.
