Thread: Change ownership of database files

I originally installed postgresql under my own user account.  I would like
to have the postmaster run under a specially designated 'postgresql' user
account.  Can I just change the ownership on the files and set the service
to use the new user account?  Using pg 7.3.4 with WinXP pro.
