PostgreSQL 7.3-x will *not* work with cygipc 1.14-1. Please upgrade to
the latest Cygwin PostgreSQL version, 7.3.3-1.

What version of XP -- Home or Pro?

No, but...

these "cosmetic" differences make it harder to install Cygwin PostgreSQL
properly.

No, I was referring to the inability to set user rights OOTB, Simple
File Sharing, only admin and guest user accounts, etc. These XP Home
idiosyncrasies seem to have caused problems in the past.

Ah ok that clarifies something.

W/ rsp to your question whether I use WinXP Home or Pro, perhaps you wanted
to know because of the Fast-Switch (Home doesn't have it, right?) I was not
using fast-switch ever since I have only 1 user on my PC.

Ok cheers,

Hendrik
