First thought: Is the ipc-daemon running? Also are you trying to run it as a service or just from the command line? How far do you get through startup? If there is a file postmaster.pid in your PGDATA directory then it will refuse to start, but should give an advisment of that fact. - Stuart -----Original Message----- From: Brandon Saxe [mailto:brandonsaxe@msn.com] Sent: 01 February 2002 16:39 To: pgsql-cygwin@postgresql.org Subject: [CYGWIN] postmaster will not start after reboot I installed cygwin successfully on win2k machine. Can you give any more detail than "postmaster no longer starts up"? Is it installed as a service? Are you starting it from the command line? Are there any errors in /var/log/postmaster.log?
