Just FYI:
Once I get past the merge conflicts I will commit an update of the pg_dump
and pg_restore ref pages (mostly markup and formatting stuff).  I think
that examples should not use long options, since those are not universally
available.

Yes, they only appear with --help from the comand line if the platforms
supportg getopt_long().
