Thread: ERROR: operator does not exist: integer = integer[]

I have the following

select *
from   employee AS e
where  (e.id) IN  (ARRAY[3,1]);

I have the following mistake
ERROR:  operator does not exist: integer = integer[]
LINE 3: where  (e.id) IN  (ARRAY[3,1]);
                      ^
HINT:  No operator matches the given name and argument type(s). You might
need to add explicit type casts.

********** Error **********

ERROR: operator does not exist: integer = integer[]
SQL state: 42883
Hint: No operator matches the given name and argument type(s). You might
need to add explicit type casts.
Character: 45


Can anybody explain me?

Use:
SELECT * FROM employee AS e WHERE e.id = ANY(ARRAY[3,1]);
