we using Slackware 10.2 & kernel 2.6.17
which suport postgresql version

PostgreSQL's driver for perl
http://search.cpan.org/~dbdpg/DBD-Pg-1.49/Pg.pm

look to postgresql.conf (port) and pg_hba.conf (enable access)
