Operating system:   Windows xp
Description:        Postmaster Service Problem
Details:

Postgres 7.3.1 is being installed in some windows xp machines.Now,the
problem is whenever the pc is restarted postmaster service gets stopped
automatically.Therefore,users would not be able to connect to local
mailstore in order to login to the messaging client application.Hence users
have to start the postmaster service manually to sort this problem
temporarily.

Cygwin is also installed for compatibility of postgres with windows OS.
Please let me the solution as soon as possible.

7.3.1 is ancient. We've had native Windows support since 8.0, which is
*much* better than cygwin. Even in the 7.3 branch, we're already at 7.3.19.

Please upgrade to latest release, which is 8.2.4 at the moment.
