Thread: libpq.a must be ranlibed after installation

Libpq.a still not ranlibed after installation. It causes link error on some
platform likes as Mac OS X for PostgreSQL 7.3.3.

I see no problem when I test on OS X.  Please exhibit a test case ...

I have patched CVS tip to do this on Darwin ... but not anywhere else,
since no comparable problem has been reported on any other platform.
