Question to You

From

Hello,

Some days earlier, I posted here some questions about
- an error detected running pg_dumpall
- the way asking technical questions to postgres team

I ask them again.

Here is the error message on pg_dumpall :
ld.so.1: /usr/local/public/pgsql/bin/psql: fatal: libpq.so.2: open failed: No
such file or directory

Thanks for answers.

Regards.

Serge Obeuf.

Serge,

What OS is this installation? What version of
PostgreSQL? Was pg_dumpall working before and now it
is broken?

Hi,

My pg_dumpall is first time running on PostgreSQL 7.2 upon Solaris.8.

Expectatively, it's well doing in test platform but not in productive one.
I don't find the difference except the name of the users : pgsql in test,
postgres in production. Their home directories change too.

But, LD_LIBRARY_PATH is correctly set the two case.

Serge.
