Registration for the PostgreSQL Anniversary Summit opens Monday, March 27th.
http://conference.postgresql.org/Registration

The deadline for proposals for the PostgreSQL Anniversary Summit is
only 5 days away: March 31st. Please submit your proposal(s) as soon
as possible.

The Anniversary Summit is brought to you by Afilias, EnterpriseDB,
GreenPlum, Pervasive and Sun Microsystems.

Trent Shipley introduced a patch for a full-featured CURRENCY data
type. Simon Riggs and others continued discussing optimization of
external sorts. Peter Eisentraut and Tom Lane discussed fixing the
SEQUENCES view in INFORMATION_SCHEMA, as well as some permissions
issues with that schema.

Enver Altin discussed some technical problems around the pgNIX
multi-platform installer he and Devrim Gunduz are building.

People continue to discuss CVSync access to the PostgreSQL CVS. Kevin
Grittner pointed out a problem with time accounting in EXPLAIN
ANALYZE.

The PostgreSQL team--that's all of us--received a very nice thank you
note from Guy Flaherty in the IS Department of Xavier College,
Australia, which read in part:

"Quite simply, nothing else was able to match the overall package that
PostgreSQL provides to the DBA or developer for doing this in such a
straightforward and reliable manner."

Josh Berkus has taken a position with Sun Microsystems.
