The funding initiative that was put together for the GiST concurrency and recovery enhancements has gotten a write up at Newsforge, for those interested: http://programming.newsforge.com/programming/05/10/12/1815254.shtml In general, it would be nice if there was a more formal way for companies to be involved in the PgSQL development process, for those who do not have the money (or the stones) to hire a developer full time outright.
