Thread: MySQL 5.0 released

MySQL 5.0 released

From

Date:
I don't know whether it's better to be first to release or second, but
it looks like we're second.

I expect people to be a little shy about committing to MySQL considering
the InnoDB question. Perhaps if potential MySQL users hold off just long
enough, they'll see the PostgreSQL 8.1 release to the rescue :)

Regards,
    Jeff Davis

Just remember that we've almost made 2 releases in the time it's taken
them to make one.

Actually, depending on the timing of MySQL 4.1 compared to 7.4, we've
made more than 2 releases. And one of those required major work to add
windows support.
