Thread: Some news from Turkey
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, We have some news from Turkey: * This month, a new Linux magazine has 4 pages of PostgreSQL Performance Tuning notes, as well as latest news from the community and PostgreSQL 7.4.2 announcement, written by me: http://www.linuxnet.com.tr (In Turkish, but everyone can see PostgreSQL there :-) ) I'll continue writing on this magazine about PostgreSQL. * Again this month, we will be presenting 3 seminars on the following topics: - Enterprise PostgreSQL Solutions with Java&Jboss (Nicolai TUFAR) (was on Saturday) - PostgreSQL Database Server and Enterprise Solutions with PostgreSQL (Devrim GUNDUZ and Nicolai TUFAR) - PL/pgSQL (Devrim GUNDUZ) Lots of people from goverment attended the first seminar and the feedbacks were good. Thanks a lot :) I developed a J2EE Model-View Contoller framework at work that's using Postgresql as the framework's rules/behavior database. The business database is Oracle and already existed. Although the proof of concept is already made and everyone'spleased with the results, showing some of those more Oracle-inclined ones that someone else also believes in Postgresqlin that kind of context would be of great help.
