Yes, however the proposed use (replacement of Access) is actually a good
use for MySQL.

Simple address books and things like that are what we should promote
MySQL for ;)

That said, I'm looking forward to the PostgreSQL driver completing so I
no longer need to use JDBC.

The beta driver is available at dba.openoffice.org, if you want to test it.
It's not production quality, but Joerg could use feedback from someone trying
to use it for a production purpose.  I moved out of desktop apps a couple of
years ago, so I haven't been much help.

BTW, I have not posted the driver to ANNOUNCE because Joerg asked me not to.
