for what definition of "sync"? If you don't know, perhaps slony would
be a good place to start researching.

As mentioned slony might be a good choice.  One of the nice features
is that you can disconnect the network cable from source to
destination and plug it back in a few minutes later and it will just
catch up without too much complaint.

And it's features for switching out dbs and sch are quite nice.
